Frac tank catwalk systems

Get off the ladder. Work from the top of the tank.

BMT sets a full-length catwalk across your tank battery, with one access stair and guardrails on both sides. Your workers gauge, strap and work valves standing upright on a deck instead of hanging off a ladder.

The catwalk system

One stair up. Walk the whole battery.

The system sits on top of the frac tanks already on your location, whatever make or color they are. Workers climb once and move tank to tank on a railed deck.

A full battery rigged with one freestanding access stair and a continuous top walkway.

Access stair

A freestanding stair with handrails brings crews up to tank-top height. They don't have to climb a ladder on the tank wall.

Continuous walkway

A grated deck spans tank to tank, so a worker can cover the whole line without climbing down between tanks.

Two-sided guardrails

Yellow top and mid rails run the full length on both sides of the walkway.

Grip-bar decking

Serrated bar grating sheds mud and water and gives boots something to bite on.

High-vis edges

Step noses and deck transitions are painted yellow, so they're easy to see in low light and at night.

Fits your tanks

We've rigged gray, green and red tank fleets. The catwalk goes on the tanks you already have spotted.

Built with H2S in mind

Keep your face out of the hatch.

Today, a lot of tanks get strapped from a ladder, with the worker's head right at hatch level when it opens. From a BMT catwalk, they're standing on a deck above the tank and have room to move.

A catwalk is one part of an H2S plan. Keep following your company's monitoring, respiratory and buddy-system procedures.
